Dynamic ranges crashed

Hi All,


I had a file with few dynamic ranges and suddenly all the ranges crashed at once. Everything in the book is OK, like data, formulas but when come to ranges all refers to =#NA.


No clue what happened. this question is asked to not to know how i can recover the lot job but to know potential reasons of this as i started using dynamic range a lot in my workbooks and this seems to be threat.

Seem to be unanswered post friends...Does this happen to to me only? but Google returned that few other also encountered this but no light on what might caused this?

The reason for no reply's may be that know one has the answer, as you point out you have Googled and even though others have had similar problems there is no answer.

You only have to make a minor unforeseen changes to a worksheet for dynamic ranges to stop working
 
Hi Guys,


This time i am sorry as i need to raise my hand to share this sample file. This file crash excel every time i try to open but as soon as i fill it with dummy data. excel do not crash it any more so the file cannot be shared.


I was hoping to get any potential reasons from you guys as might have faced. We can treat it as exception happened to me and lets move forward.

You can always use RAND() and RANDBETWEEN() to create random data and share the same file. In case you are comfortable, you can email it to me at faseeh10@hotmail.com


Can you mention the formula that is giving NA# Error plus the formula that defines the Named Range??

Hi, KPJ!


Could you please check if any of your dynamic named data ranges (or the main one, at least) are defined as:

=OFFSET(A1,0,0,COUNTA(A:A),0)

and range being empty?
