dynamic chart query

hi,

Befor i write my query I want to thank you for this amazing web site.Everything which i now about excel chrts are becuse of you.

I work in investment banking i have 14 clients,i maintain a trends file with data for the last 3 years.My investor name are in columns and dates are in rows.I update the data every month.But i need the chart for the last 12 months.Every time i have to change my data range .could you please to make this dynamic.
 
Hey welcome to this forum, one simple way of doing it is put u r data in a table & link that table to the chart, so as & when u enter the data in the table the table expands to accommodate the data & the chart automatically changes.


In 2007 & 2010 highlight u r data go to Insert >Tables

HI,

I actually have to graph only the last 12 months data.My dates are the first row and name of clients are the columns,all the examples hav the other way round as date as colums and my offset knowledge is a little weak.If you could help it would be great.

Can i upload a dummy file to make my query clear?
