Dynamic Chart - Differing number of rows

Hi,

This is my first time posting on Chandoo. I really like the tips/advice/training I've seen so far.

I am creating a chart that references data in columns A & B. The data in columns A & B change based on a Data Validation drop down list. Therefore, my chart changes as well. For example, Chart 1 has Salespeople and Profit, and Chart 2 has Managers and Profit.

My problem is that the Managers Chart and the Salespeople Chart have a different number of Rows. There are only 10 managers and 25 salespeople. Therefore, my "Managers Chart" has a large empty space on the graph (15 spaces to be exact; 25-10).

I am confident that there is a solution to this as I have seen Excel do amazing things that I previously didn't know were possible. However, my knowledge is limited and so I'm turning to you!

The formula I am using in Columns A & B is:

"CHOOSE(MATCH(..."

Please let me know if I am not clear or if further explanation is needed. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Gowander,

Welcome to the Forums, You can use OFFSET() for this purpose. Chandoo has explained the process Below:

if still doubtful, please consider uploading sample file.
