Sorry I am not an IT fellow. Learning just out of curiosity


When a drop down list is created and item selected the linked cell shows the index of the item only and not the string value


How to get the string value?


Any help appreciated

You can use INDEX function to find the String like this:


=INDEX(Lookup_Range,Item_Index,0)
