Drag and Drop TEXT File to EXCEL

Hello All

I download a tabular data from my ERP system to desktop which is saved in .txt

When i drag and drop this file to EXCEL, it neatly arranges itself without giving any prompts. However values like 302.12010 get converted to 302.1201 This is actually a text and I do not want to loose the 0. If i open the txt file using File->Open and then follow the wizard steps, it works fine.

Alternatively, I tried to set the format to TEXT for the whole excel sheet and then drag and drop the file, but it always opens a new excel instance and hence that doesn't help

Any pointers to this?

Thanks in advance
Km

Don't drag and drop. But open text file from Excel's Open file menu and specify which columns are imported as text in "Text Import Wizard".
