Display direction of arrows based on data validation selection

In the attached file, I have data validation in cell H3. When the user selects "Major Scale Ascending" I would like the block arrow to display pointing to the right with the word "Ascending" shown in the block arrow.

When the user selects Major Scale Descending" I would like the block arrow to display pointing to the left with the word "Descending" shown in the block arrow.

I have a formula inserted as text but I don't think this is the way to do it.

Any anybody offer any suggestions?
