Different alternatives to vlookup formula?

Hello excel Ninjas,

Can you please tell me other formulas that can get the job done as the attachment example (vlookup formula) and what the cons and pros are of each of them. I did not know how to use the index and match formula to do the job exactly as the attached by the way, can some one please help me?
