Depict variation in line chart with anchoring of callout box.

Hi, I have a line chart and I want to find out the average, minimum and maximum of the series-1 of all the data between two certain points selected by the user by clicking of double clicking on them (or if it's too difficult to achieve - entered manually by the user in a userform) and depict this data on the chart in a call out box with two lines pointing to the endpoints (which if possible would get anchored with the points so that on changing the scale or width of the chart move with the chart). I know that if the user enters the data points between which the calculations are to be done can be achieved using vb but the problem of the selection of the points and getting the calculations done and anchoring of the end points of the box is intriguing me. I'm an entry level VBA user.
