Hi Chandoo organization,

I have a date question for you. I know when you enter a date in this format (Thursday, February 7, 2013) you can copy it down to Friday, February 8, 2013 and so forth. What I would like to do if I can put in the date Thursday, February 7, 2013 and copy it down to Wednesday, February 6, 2013 and so forth. I appreciate your assistance. Joe, from Michigan.

Fill dates for first 2 rows i.e.

Thursday, February 07, 2013

Wednesday, February 06, 2013

And then drag down, Excel will give you desired result.

Hi Joeman187,

* without Formula !!!

Select A1 (where date was mentioned)

Select upto where you want to fill. (i.e..A1 to A20)

Press Alt + E + I + S (fill Series)

In the Step Value Field write "-1" and Enter..

* with Formula..

Do you really need with formula.. :) I guess NO..

Regards,

Deb

That was pretty neat Deb that trick with the -1 in the step value field. This will help me out alot on what I have to do with the dates. Thanks, Joe.
