Dates are same but result is coming False

Dear Sir,

Reference to attached file Dates are same but result is coming False.

Can you please help me to understand why its coming false.

A2 is a date, B2 is text that looks like a date. Set the cells' formatting to GENERAL and you'll see the difference.

You can use:

=DATEVALUE(B2)

so this formula:

=A2=DATEVALUE(B2)

will return TRUE.
 
@Shabbo And FYI, without manual alignment text is left aligned in cell, numbers are right-aligned. At a glance you can see what is wrong (BTW Ali's nickname might be " EagleEye Ali " :))
So, avoid applying manual alignment before you are satisfied with you formulas
