Data updating from external source and highlights

Dear all,


I have a file which has to be updated from a office network drive, both files have same data (columns & everything). The file will be updated daily by 8 members. Now i want that, the change points of that file (which is in network drive) should be updated in my file (which is in my PC) and should be highlighted so that i can view the change points of that all users. So can you give me some ideas, how to do that?

There are many ways of doing this.

1) Record a macro & change the range, to accommodate the growing workbook.

2) Link both the workbook. Enable trace changes for the one residing in the network drive

& write an UDF(user defined function)for the one residing on u r desktop to copy the formatting along with the values.
