No, I checked above links before posting a question. If I save a new theme it appears in my custom theme but when I share it with others it gets applied but does not show in custom theme. That' s my concern. Above links does not answer this.
Hi, Abhay!
I don't use themes so even if I could set one I won't be able to check those set by others, would you send your theme or any other for testing purposes? Thank you.
Regards!
The link provided by Narayan not answered my question however directed me towards it.
The trick is this
When other person browse and select the theme file it will get applied to file but will not show in Custom Themes. I am not sure if this is a loop hole in Excel.
However, if it is copied to Themes Template folder in shared person PC it will show up in Custom and he / she can modify this theme as usual.
I hope you guys got my point and I have not confused. Try sharing themes otherwise.
But that is the whole point of what you are doing.
You are making a custom theme in an Excel workbook and then sending it to other, they can see the theme as it is in-bedded in the workbook, they cannot use it in other documents as it is not in the theme collection it need to be put there.
The link that Narayan does at the bottom of the article explain how to export and save the theme on other computers so that it can be used in more workbooks.
