custom format cell to remove errors?

to remove a 0 from a cell you would use this when selecting, format cell/custom.
0;-0;;@
But is there a way that if a cell has an error to use that trick as well?

I know it is better to use the =iferror formula but I was wondering if this works would this use less processing power than the =iferror?

I assume the answer is no for everything but just making sure.

Custom Format? I don't think so... but you can use Conditional Formatting, apply this formula (Ex. in A1):

=ISERROR(A1)

Or controling directly in the formula:
=IFERROR(Formula,"")

I think not possible in custom format, as custom formats are for 4 parts:
1) Positive Values; 2) Negative Values; 3) Zero; 4) Text

We don't have 5th part

That kind of helped to "sweep it under the carpet" to do the trick by changing any error text to be white text to not show.
The 2011 version of excel is different which took a while to figure out but it was generally the same if you mess with it. I will put it () what is different. Which it says:

1. On the Home tab, in the Styles group (format group for 2011), click the arrow next to Conditional Formatting and then click Manage Rules (new rules).
   The Conditional Formatting Rules Manager dialog box appears.
2. Click New Rule.
   The New Formatting Rule dialog box appears.
3. Under Select a Rule Type(style), click Format (classic) only cells that contain.
4. Under Edit the Rule Description, in the Format only cells with list, select Errors.
5. Click Format, and then click the Font tab.
6. In the Color box, under Theme Colors, select the check box that contains the white color. (fiddle with it)
