:) Hi Experts,

This question is basically deals with microsoft excel and microsoft office. Could not find an answer anywhere, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I want to attach an excel sheet to an email (using microsoft outlook only), and want to create an hyperlink in the email, which points to a specific tab and specific cell in the attachment.

So when user gets the email, instead of going through the whole attached excel and big data, user can click on hyperlink and can go to relevant cell directly.

Can we create hyperlink of excel in an email(which is attached in the same email). Is that doable?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Prateek007

Why don't you save the workbook with the cursor on that particular cell. Or you could create a Before Workbook Close event which saves the file to that particular place each time. Then when the user opens the workbook it will be open to that particular point of reference. It is a relatively simple workaround.

Take care

Smallman

Thank You Smallman,

The email consists of various difference point of reference, which can be mentioned in email with hyperlink with more ease for the end user.

The sheet does not contain a single point, its like a list of updates, when they click on first, they go to that cell, Next they click on second update they go to next point. To avoid people to go through the whole sheet.

Hopefully i was able to put my point clear this time :)
