Hi Peeps

I have noticed an issue which directs users to the old forum. I notice this issue as this is how I navigate to the Chandoo forum in the past. If I navigate in this manner then others will too.

If you click on Home above, now click on Excel Forums? You will see it takes you to the old Chandoo forum. The old forum should virtually be invisible. It might have something to do with the fact that we are still getting multiple posts there per day.

See file attached.

Also I wanted to see all forum views on one page or at least like pages in one complete listing. Is there a view where you can see the VBA forum and the XL forum all in one listing? Going back and forth between the forum menus is a little tedious. Others may think this is an enhancement, happy to have the discussion or I may have missed a menu in my travels.

Take care

The "Forums" page lists all the forums and the "Whats new" page lists all the new posts in all the forums. I get lost on the "Home" page.

@smallman

It took longer than it was anticipated to migrate to the new forum so both old and new where running at the same time , this is no longer the case.
As for navigating the forum I do not think it is a little tedious. It is far easier then the old forum, for instance in this forum the first tab is "The Lounge" clicking on the second tab "Forums" takes you to the listings. It is a lot better to navigate than some of the lesser Excel sites. :D
Or do as I do and open you the sections of the forum that you are working on in new browser tabs.

Hi Bob

Thanks for the reply.

So your work around is to open two browsers and have both forums Ask an Excel Question and VBA Macros on either page? If this is correct wouldn't it be easier to have one forum, lets get Eastern European and call it "The Final Solution" forum. This forum could be a combination of 'Ask an Excel Question' and 'VBA Macros'. The old forum was set out this way and your so called 'Lesser Excel Sites' have this feature. The segregation of the forums has added an extra step on the new forum.

In my opinion what I am suggesting is an improvement to the site. This kind of visibility was not available in the testing environment as all forums were not up. I would have suggested it right off the bat. If I am the only voice though I guess it is a moot point.

Hi Smallman,

Have you tried what Lymm suggested. I'll say give it a go. I have saved image and posted url below. Right click on it and choose "view image".

Hi Shrivallabha

Yeah I gave that a go. Good suggestion but not what I want to see. Here is an example the last post I posted in was;

That post does not appear in what is new (at least I can't see it). This is what I want to seem- one menu - all posts from VBA Macros and Ask an Excel Question. Same as the old Chandoo forum. Kind of like a forum that combines both views. Why should we have two browsers open or have to flick between the two forums to get this view? This is only really appropriate for about a couple of dozen people who will spend their time answering XL questions on this forum. But it saves a lot of stuffing around as we say down under.

Take care

Latest Posts - This is a gold mine. Thank you so much for creating this view of the forum ;) Now I can see it all unfold! Perfect.

Thanks for fixing the link from the main forum. It was my window to Chandoo.
