COUNTIF

Hello! I am trying to code verbatim comments and am using COUNTIF to get the number of comments using specified text. What I would like to do, is somehow highlight or code the text in the originating cell so that I can pull out the entire comment. Any ideas? Thank you so much and I am a new user to Chandoo.org and have already found a few interesting helpful hints!

Thank you. Here is a sample of what I am trying to do. I color coded the responses manually but was hoping I could have Excel do that or something similar as I usually have hundreds of lines to code.

Hi,

Not fully understood, but I think you want to highlight column A text. If so than see the attached file. CF is applied on column A text, anytime the cell contains bath it is blue colour and any time contains all, it is orange colour.

Yes, thank you. I did that manually to try to show that I wanted someway to highlight the code in column A when the COUNTIF was done in column B. There probably isn't a way but I thought I'd ask anyway.
