Count cells depending on 3 different color

Hi,

Please help me solve the problem.

Requirement:

When we input a color (1 of any 3) the total number will change.
green = Present
Red= Absent
Yellow= Leave

The Total column will automatically take value depending on the color. Each color will have a value of 1. So, if green appears 15 times in a row. The total present will show 15.

This needs to activate any of 'white cell' after 'input'.
Only those three [AG6:AI6] background colors will calculate.

Another solution would be to use an UDF to count by color:

In "AG7": "=CountByColor(AG$6;$E7:$AF7)"
Copy down and across.
