Copy & Retain Formula

How can i copy some cells and retain the formula so i can have same answer. Thanks.

Hi ,

I doubt that you can copy using the Excel menu options and retain the formula in the cells where the paste is done.

The nearest equivalent would be to use the Paste Link option , so that a link to the source cells is entered , so that when ever the source cells change , the cells which contain the links will reflect the change.

the formula in some cells when i copy to other place, formula should remain same as well as the answer should remain same.
I got suggestion to add $A$1, and this works. thanks.
