Convert text dates to actual dates upon Pasting

Hi all,

I have a report extracted from a system, where column A is the date, presented in text format e.g. "Apr-22"

I need to copy this data and paste it into the column of another spreadsheet, where the column has already been custom formatted to be a date value (Custom - "dd-mmm-yy").

When I copy the text date from the system report, and paste as values in the other spreadsheet (CTRL + ALT + V > Values) the same text format carries across from the system report i.e. "Apr-22". If I then F2 the pasted cell and tab down, the text date "Apr-22" then converts to the custom value date format (01-Apr-22). Is there any way of pasting the text date so that it immediately converts to the custom format, without having to F2 the cell?

Could You send a sample of that report ... some rows?

Your report gives text which shows like date.
... Your B-column -values are text without year information.
... C-column checks are those dates ( numbers )
... Your D-column changes those ...
... E-column checks are those dates ( numbers )
... F-column converts B-column values to numbers with datevalue
... H-column converts B-column values to numbers as above and shows it with customformat as You need.
