You can not directly import a PDF file into Excel, the way to do it is convert your PDF into a word document and then use the Excel function to import the word data.
Kindly mention the steps of converting the procedure to import word data into excel . i use the function form Get extrnal data ( from text ) but it does not work after appearing screen of "txt import wizard"
i have converted the file from pdf to word and then trying to import it in Excel by using option Get external data from text option ,the window appear next ask 2 options Fixed or delimited but in both cases "text "of file change in different sign. Can i fix it ?
You say you have convert to word, this saves as a .doc extension it needs to be a text file. Open your word doucument and then go to "save as" and save as a plain text file.... .txt extension then import the text document in to excel.
The conversion might fail if the document you are considering is scanned. You can try Adobe Acrobat X Pro for converting PDF to Excel Sheet. Have you tried that!!
Just had a look at Adobe Acrobat X Pro and if any one had to import PDF to Excel on a regular basis then it would be worth buying, for a company even a small one the cost is negligible.
I agree with your comments about pirated software, the developers deserve a wage.....but you can down load a trial version to see if it does what you need and if happy buy the license, if I was the OP that's what I would do.
