Conditional formatting

Hi guys

I am wanting to try and use conditional formatting in excel relating to KPI's. I am trying to use the icon set to show variances in KPI's such as trade debtor days for example, which may be positive, there may be no movement, or it may be negative.

For positive I am wanting a green arrow (i.e. value % change >1)

For no movement I am wanting an orange arrow (i.e. value % change = 0)

For negative I am wanting a red arrow (i.e. value % change < 0)

Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks

Paul

Select your cells, then go to Conditional Formatting - New Rule.

Format all cells based on their values.

In first drop down, select 'Icon sets'.

In Icon Style, select 3 arrows.

For green arrows, should be:

Code:
> 0 Number

Yellow arrow:

>=  0   Number

Ok out.

Hi Luke

I had already done that, I now realise my error though, it was due to setting the type to percentage rather than formula, as my cell is a formula stating the movements between two other values

Thanks

Paul
