Conditional Formatting

Hi guys,

I want to predefine a range of cells with conditional formatting that will automatically remove any letters/words within this range with a blank cell. How can I do this?

I know I can you the find and replace function but don't want to add this step to the dashboard.

Appreciate the help in advance.

Hi Pitcher

As I understand, if you want to hide the contents of cell, use the personal number format ;;;

Thanks Meratog,

The data in this range changes on a daily basis based upon the data I pull from our ERP system and as such I never know which cells will produce a letter or word. What I want to do is simply replace any cell within this range that produces a letter/word with a blank space or even a zero.

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi

As I know, you can't delete the content of a cell by conditionnal formatting (as it name, it means you can only change the format).

Hi Pitcher,

* For Visibility---

Select Cell (A1) >> Apply Conditional Formatting >> Use Formula to determine Which Cell to Format >>

Apply Formula as

=NOT(ISNUMBER(A1))

Set Format as >> Number > Custom > ";;;"

* For Actually---

Select all cell..

Goto Special > Constant >> [ALT + E + G + S + O] Check all Except NUMBER >> OK >> and Hit Del..

Please let us know, if you are facing any issue or I have missed something in your question..

Regards,

Deb
