Conditional Formatting not formatting, doing its own thing :(

good day all

The answer is staring me in the face but I am missing it, I am trying to format N8:N13 with colour to match the formula that is in these cells. I have tried every which way but no joy. When a cell in D8:D13 has its data changed the colour code goes to a bag of S!%t. I am just not getting it, it is the end of a long day and I would appreciate someone pointing out the obvious. File in my Dropbox.

Sorry bobhc, you know I have CASFFML issues. =(

I know it's a hassle, but perhaps you can post sample directly as to what you have, and what the formatting is?

Hi,

How about 3 separate CF's? - Format only cells that contain...

Cell equal to "Green" > format

Cell equal to "Red" > format

Cell equal to "Amber" > format

Hi Bob ,

You need 4 rules in all ; select your cells N8:N13 , and put in the following rules :

1. =$D8<=2.5 select Green Fill , OK

2. =AND($D8>2.5,$D8<=5) select Amber Fill , OK

3. =AND($D8>5,$D8<=25) select Red Fill , OK

4. =$D8>25 select Black Fill , OK

Good day Luke M

Perhaps you could send your email to bobhc321@gmail.com

oldchippy I have done as you suggested many times, it does as I want but when I change data it seems to forget the CF, you can see the CF in the manage rules dialog.

Good day NARAYANK991 I will try your formulas and let you know.

Good day. Your formulas are doing the job, I added one more so that when the reset button is clicked all the cells revert to white....=$D8:$D13<=0.. with white fill...my thanks for your help and working answer.
