Conditional formatting help

If I enter "Sunday" in cell "A1", then Cells A2 to A15 should be colored

Please help

Hi Ashish,

1) Select A2:A15
2) Go CF,
3) Click on new rule.
4) Select the last option, Use a formula.....
5) Paste this formula "=AND($A$1="Sunday")"
6) Select your format and you are done.

Is there any reason we need "AND"?
'=$A$1="Sunday"' seems to work.

@tobediff , to be honest, I do not know why we need "AND".

I use this by habit. This does not occur to me earlier, I will also try to check it & will revert.

"'=$A$1="Sunday"' have not use this earlier, will check.

P.S. - Yes, you are correct, this also work, I will check about AND.
