Conditional formatting help on text

How to bold the text greater than 7 characters using conditional formatting. Please advise.

Select the range, put below formula in CF

=LEN(B4)>8

Remove all other CF rules.

Hi Misra,

Thankyou for your response. Had a question there are two words grapefruit and cinnmon when I put the formula in "Use a formula to determine which cells to format" under conditional formatting. It is not bolding the two words.

Please advise..

After you have selected the range and entered the formula in CF you have to apply the formatting, ie BOLD for it to work, the CF will not work for cinnamon as the formula is for words greater than 8 and cinnamon is not greater than 8, if you need this then alter the formula.

As Bob suggested you need to alter the formula to >=8.
