Hi Champs

I might be completely blind after working days on the same sheet to create an assessment solution based on excel.

Now coming to the "optical" part, I dont find a way to color text in sheet2!B2

based on a value in sheet1!C2 (Yes, No, Partially).

If Sheet1!C2 is Yes, then i want sheet2!B2 display green background

If Sheet1!C2 is No, then i want sheet2!B2 display red background

If Sheet1!C2 is Partially, then i want sheet2!B2 display orange background

This goes for all text in Sheet2!B2:B15, depending on the corresponding values in sheet1!C2:C15

Can that be done?

Hi,

This can be done by using defined named ranges to other sheets as explained here

http://www.cpearson.com/excel/cformatting.htm

But probably the easiest way is to reference the cells from sheet1 over to sheet2 into a column over to the right, say in Z2 =Sheet1!B2 copy down to Z15, then use these cells to reference your CF, then hide column Z
