Conditional formatting based on value in previous cell

Problem Statement:
In this file, have given the conditional formatiing for all cells alike. But this CF is suitable only for R2A INTL GL - SA & for others need to have a different
set of CF.

How should I make a different CF based on value being displayed in column D?

Attached the sample file for ready reference.

Hi Rajesh,

I saw that you are doing CF based on time values. I would suggest you to create a lookup table for column D values with respective time bounds and than pass those values to CF rules.

Thanks for your prompt response but I am not clear on what you suggest.

Requirement:

We are analysing the Attendance data of team members. Each & every team has their own shift times. There are some unique time which do not match with other shift times. Color shades are used as per the requirement of the respective shifts. In this case, I am planning to have the CF based on column D & that format wil be copied to all cells so that in case of team change, CF will automatically pick up.

Hope it clarifies my requirement to you for further help...

I would suggest you to make a table like below and use lookup functions to get times for various teams instead of putting time values in CF rules.

Please see the above table, for one team we have multiple shifts & hence I am finding it difficult with your above solution...

Team A will operate in three different shifts on daily basis. Shift will change for the employee based on the volume received but it will fluctuate within the three timings given.

eg: Ram will work in 6.00 to 1.30 shift today & in 1.30 to 9.00 shift tomm. (One person will work in 1 shift for a given day but shifts may vary if you take the week / month data)

Shift period will vary as per country operated. Hence there is a change in Shift time for Team C.
