College Project

I'm working on a college project and need help. I have a list of zip codes in one column. An example of one is below:

35640-3379

I need to take that zip code and delete everything to the right of the dash (including the dash itself) to make it look like this:

35640

I could do it by hand but I have over 20,000 zip codes to sort through. Is there a way to do this via a formula? Attached is a sample of the excel sheet I'm working with. Thank you for your time.

Kind Regards,

Joe
