I want to write a macro in Outlook that will be triggered when new email arrives in the Inbox.


I want to perform following two actions by the macro.


The message box will display "You have recevied New Mail".


Move the new email to a folder "Sachin".


Can anyone help me in this please, I do not anything about how to write codes for Outlook.
 
Can't you just setup a rule within Outlook to move all mail to the folder? Both of your requests sound like functions that are already available within Outlook.

My mistake here, I forgot to mention, this is part of my assignment, not a real issue.


Please help if you get time, sorry for the confusion.
 
I'm afraid I'm more confused? Is the assignment to write a macro to do something that already exists? So, just an excercise in learning about using VBA w/ Outlook?
 
Yes, that is the confusing part, I am required to do these things by coding, Sir you are right, We can do it in Outlook with a single click.
