First-time posting here. Very frustrating problem with a pivot chart in O365 Excel 16.
I have a workbook with 5 sheets that contain various collections of pivot charts and pivot tables as a front end to a data model with ~3500 records in it.
My problem is that Excel seems to 'forget' what chart types I initially selected when I built the file.
Every time I filter by slicer, the chart types change to a custom combo chart (Column + Line).
I have set Default Chart Type = Stacked Column
I build a pivot chart and apply Stacked Column type
Whenever the chart recalcs, it reverts to the wrong type.
I've tried selecting a different type as default and then switching back, but same result.
I have tried creating the chart from a pivot table...same result.
I have tried creating the chart directly from Insert>Pivot Chart...same result.
Do I have to revert to VBA to make this chart type 'stick'? Or am I just missing something obvious?
Before I sent this off, I figured I would try a new file to see if the behavior follows the file. Looks like it could be the file that's bad.
Anyone know how to check? Or repair a file with these symptoms?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Rich P
