Chart with 4 month figures and a yearly total stack column

Hi,


I would really appreciate any help from you experts!


Here it goes.


I have to present data in a chart for the last fout months and give the running total for the year seperately. si it would be like this:


Jan-12 Feb-12 Mar-12 Apr-12 May-12 Jun-12 Jul-12 Aug-12

Applied £24 £27 £30 £70

Paid £12 £13 £114 £26

Ytd £199 £220 £240 £260 £2496 £2726 £3067 £3348


so for the applied and paid figure, I've use a line chart and for the year to date total I'd like a stack column showing each months on the side?


not sure if that is possible. I've tried but with very little luck

Welcome to the Chandoo's forums.


You can show entire data in just one series of stacked chart showing contribution of each month to the YTD total, but separate series for each month is not possible i think, it will be just one series for all the months.


I have used a bar chart to represent year to date data, might that help you, see this one:
