Chart in Power point with data in Excel from a drive

Hi,


I need to create a chart in a powerpoint with the data available in excel from a drive when ever there is a change in the excel there should be a change in the chart.

Build the chart in XL, and then in PowerPoint insert a Linked Object that looks at the XL file. When you open the PowerPoint file, you should then get an option to update links, if you want.

You can not do that. If the chart is always displayed, why not just display the chart natively in XL? You could even put XL in full screen mode, for the same effect.

Do your whole presentation in Excel. That's what I do.

I have lot of charts to display so i think presenting in excel will not be possible ... is there any vba code for powerpoint which will refresh the data on each slide in the presentation ...

It really sounds more like a dashboard that you need to create, rather than a presentation. A presentation is usually created to display a snapshot of values, while a dashboard is designed to give live, up-to-the-minute info. Luckily, dashboards is one of Chandoo's specialties and he's written many articles about them.
