='C:\user\Sonny\desktop[Book1.xlsx]sheet1'!$A$1

Hello, i have the above to reference a closed workbook. Could you advise another way so that i don't need to specify the user\sonny\ as the file is used by several users? and that it works on excel as a closed reference?
Appreciate your assistance.

Thanks
I did some search, I couldn't find the answer.
i need something like desktop[Book1.xlsx]sheet1'!$A$1 to work without having the User/sonny.

Are you saying that this file, used by different users, has copies residing in different folders and you want the master program to find the version owned by the current user? Like, when Sonny's running the program it should use C:\user\Sonny\desktop\SomeWorkbook.xlsx, but when Angela is running the program it should use C:\user\Angela\MyProjects\Someworkbook.xlsx? That can be done, but your program would have to identify who is the current user (probably by looking at the network ID) and match that to a path stored somewhere in its instructions.
