Change w/o sorting

I am asking for your help.

Attached a file with an example

I calculate it while I am taking care to put the data in order. It means, to sort it by firm and then by year. How can I get the same results without sorting the data???

The table, as mentioned in the attached file, is sorted by firm and then by year.

My research table can not be sorted by firm-year, so I am asking for help by getting the same result as mentioned in column F for each firm-year observation. I attached an example in my revised file

The formula is not particularly short, you can use the original data without the need for sorting.
which is where this section,ROW($C$2:$C$11)-1,tata begin starting from the second row,

It is also possible without the function INDEX, and the formula is shortened.

There is no need,ROW($C$2:$C$11)-1,only ($C$2:$C$11).
