It's been 2 days I'm spending on this issue.

I have one excel file (2 years of work!) which is corrupted.

"excel found unreadable content in "file name .xlsx" do you want to recover the contents of the workbook?"

I did try all ressources available on the matter but no success.

Not a problem, just delete the corrupted file and use your backup file, over two years you must have a few backups.

In order to repair the corrupted Excel file, then, in that case, you have to follow the steps mentioned below.

1. Click File>Open.

2. Click the location and folder that contains the corrupted excel file.

3. In the Open dialog box, select the corrupted excel file.

4. Click the arrow next to the Open button, and then click Open and Repair.

5. In order to recover the data from MS excel as much as possible, click on repair.

Hi,
When your excel file gets corrupted then all the data becomes invisible and it needs to be repaired. Excel has open and repair utility features which can help to repair the excel file. Follow the steps:
*Open MS Excel > press Ctrl+O > locate corrupt excel spreadsheet and select it.

*Click on the arrow shown beside Open button > select Open and Repair.

But when this steps don't work then I would recommend you to use a repair tool.

Firstly, you should try to repair corrupt excel file open and repair function in MS Excel. It is built-in repair function that helps to fix repair corrupt .xls/.xlsx files and open them. As it is a built-in feature, it has a drawback. It might not work on properly and show error. In this situation, you can try a third-party Excel Repair Tool to repair corrupt MS Excel file.

There are several reasons for MS Excel file to get damaged such as virus attack, system malfunction, hard drive bad sector, shutting down file without closing your worksheet, software issues and so on. Most proper way of saving your file from corruption is to create proper back-up of your file but if you lack appropriate back-up then you can make use of Excel File Repair Tool.
