Calculating specific rows

Hi, I have a spreadsheet where I keep weekly payroll. I need to calculate how much we pay for overtime on specific days so I'm trying to sum all Monday's, Tuesday's etc. Is there an easier way to do this other than = (+A1+A8) etc?
