Calculate a day before a date

Hi Experts,

Could you please help me with the formula to know the day before a given date.

Ex - 01-march-2013 should be 28-Feb-2013
31-May-2010 should be 30-May-2010

A1 : 01-march-2013, or 31-May-2010

In B1,

=A1-1

Hi,

Let say in A1 and B1 you have
now apply the below formula in A2 and drag to B2
=EDATE(A1,0)-1
