Button to update data on multiple sheets

Hi Everyone,

I'm admittedly a complete newbie to macros in Excel and am feeling very overwhelmed with the task I need done. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is an example of the raw data page I wish to pull from:
http://i.imgur.com/6ueYoJk.jpg

What I need done is when I press the update button on the data page - for B2:B27 to be copied onto a sheet titled SiO2 into B1 shown here: http://imgur.com/BkzZL3K. Afterwards when I replace the set of data (A2 to O27) with next week's set and press upload it should copy and paste B2:B27 into a new column C1 on worksheet SiO2.

I would also like a new worksheet for each column in the raw data worksheet to be created and copied in this same fashion ie the next worksheet would be Al2O3 and have data from C2 to C28 and have the Al2O3 data copied in the same fashion onto it's own worksheet, so everytime I hit update it took C2 to C28 but created a new column in the Al2O3 worksheet for it.

Could anyone give me any pointers on this? Looking to get my company to pay for the VBA classes offered here but in the meantime I'm stuck!

Hi Jeff ,

Since you say you are not familiar with macros , what pointers do you expect ?

My suggestion is that if you can upload , if not your actual working file , at least a sample file with the same data layout and sheet tabs , those who wish to help out can write the macro , test it with the sample workbook , and then upload the file with the macro. You can then study this and try it out with your working file , and see if it does what you want done. If not , get back to this forum for the desired changes.

Hello Narayan,

Thank you for your quick response. You make a good point. Here I have uploaded my working file.
I don't really expect anyone to want to do the whole macro as I realize I am asking a lot for a new person to this forum - but perhaps they could give me the code for a portion of my needs which I could use to complete the macro. I do plan on getting some books pertaining to VBA though and hopefully I will be able to pay it back to the people of this forum in the future.

As I said I am trying to take the values below the SiO2 column in the Pasted Data worksheet and have them pasted into a column on the SiO2 worksheet - and have this repeat and create a new column in the SiO2 worksheet each time I hit the update button. Same with the other columns (in Pasted Data worksheet) and their respective worksheets.

Thank you!

Hi Jeff ,

Check this file.

I have modified one of the headers from A/F to AF ; this is because the macro is activating the relevant worksheet based on the header ; the header was A/F whereas the sheet name is AF.
