I've been thinking on this topic for some time. Here is my scenario.
An organization has got individual "Projects" and "Support" teams reporting up to the director. The challenge we have is to figure out the peers who need to talk to each other from the respective group. The current org. structure that is defined is limited to the individual groups, but doesn't have a consolidated one. Is it possible to build a consolidate one. The organization has got employee count in thousands so it is imperative that we link the file to a data source.
I did some googling and found that we need to write VBA's to some extent. Can we do it in PowerPIVOT or a normal pivot table??
