Automated scrap report

New Member
Hello, I am working to a new and improved scrap report for work, so far everything went well but I got stacked at the last step.
I managed to automate the transformation of each material in raw material based on consumption with corresponding date and process type.
The last and most important thing i have to automate is add the raw data from worksheet input to the Scrap report worksheet based on Part number, Date and process type; process type is also split in p,T and s.

I would be grateful if some one could help on this.
Thank you in advance,
Paul

Something like this sample ... ?

This is amazing, you are like saver. It works perfect. The only thing i must do is to adjust this to 4 more weeks. The full report will have 5 weeks with about 300 rows. Also the rows might grow depending on the new products.

... yes ...
It would be better for Your to give those 'minor must' details too.
Check this version
... of course, I cannot even guess all details of those Your 'must's.
Note: A sample is always ... a sample!

Basically the Scrap report is for one Month and I take in consideration months that extend to 5 weeks maximum.
Also is much easy for me to run the code from a button, for the test purpose I put an Add data button. On the Scrap report the rows will grow when new projects will be added.
And this would be all I need.

Thank you a million for your help. I am deeply grateful.

I know that it has been a while since this topic started, at the end I decided to use the first version that you created, it works wonderful, until now.
Recently there was an update to windows 10 to our office PC and the file is not working as it should, it skips a row of data, do I need to install something additionally? Or are the any changes to be done is the code? Please advise.

Also attached the file, to be checked. I left actual data that I use.

Thank you in advance.

I checked with my file with Your data.
#1 eg 1322 953 2400 ... should it be in Input?
... as well as 'few more' Part numbers?
#2 Dates should be in same week in both sheets.

I did some modifications to this file:
eg If Scrap report -sheets Part number is missing from Input-sheet then it'll be yellow.
... for my eyes ... there are 'some' of those.

Questions?

Thank you for your help again. I made some tests with other data and the it also skips a row.
So to provide more details, in the Input sheet the data will be different every week and it is extracted from another excel file were the operator adds the raw data. in the example that you mentioned 1322 953 2400 it may be in Input sheet for week 4 (for example) but not necessary in week 5.
Meaning every week data from Input sheet will be different, furthermore not all the part numbers are scraped every week.
Hope this help, and sorry for the misunderstanding.

Should I find any comments about my previous version from Your reply?
Your wrote something ... may be ... cases ... You should know.
Is there still missing (skip a row) something? If Yes then You should to explained - what/where?
... need to see a sample.

I modified again this file:
#1 Same data can report only once ( if not clear it ).
#2 There could be data from many weeks ... I duplicated some - dates has changed.
... but if same Part number will report in many weeks then there will be a challenge with report.
>> ... depends - have You cleared old report or not.
>> above (#2) could solve, if copy reported weeks in the end of report before new week.
... but then cannot know (yet) which weeks report.
#3 report dates are automatic

Based my previous reply, You understood everything
... because none questions.
Do You have now, any questions.

Now it is perfect, it is everything that I had wish for. You are truly a master.
I very grateful for your help, and thank you for patience.

Why? What are your concerns?

It straight forward how it works. The workflow is simple:
-add data to Import Sheet
-Then from Sheet "Scrap report" hit the "Do it button"
-Copy data to main report and done

For the next week:
-remove data from Import sheet to add the data
-Then from Sheet "Scrap report" hit the "Do it button"
-Copy data to main report and done

It works like a charm.

The main Scrap report that is used in our company is a template for the hole month.
It much more easy to copy the processed data from "bin from template" to the actual report (same format, size, etc) , rather then
type everything manually.

I am making some simulation from older reports to compare results and I will return with feedback.

... maybe I have had not clear idea - how would You use something like this?
... as well as You've written many times that also skips a row. ... hmm?
#1 all done rows would move to 'herinput'
#2 there could add more data to any week
#3 data could be more than one weeks data - can solve week-by-week
#4 still missing to see all done datas totals ... even in scrap report-sheet
Here few samples ( not fully tested ).
