appending data via lookup

Hello all. It's been awhile since I've had to ask a question. I've sung your praises to everyone who has asked me about excel!

In tab1 (main file) 4 columns: Market/Region/Country/Revenu

IN tab2 (revenue lookup) 3 columns: market country and YTD revenue


I need to append the YTD revenue in tab2 to column 5 in tab1

I can't get a VLooup to work. I found another formual:

IF(C2="","", VLOOKUP(C2&"*",REVENUE LOOKUP!B2:C20,2,TRUE))and that doesn't work either.

Won't the following formula do this ?


=VLOOKUP(C2,'Revenue Lookup'!$B$2:$C$12,2,FALSE)
