Appending Data in Column

In column A, I have a sequential number. I need to append the number with the "@" symbol.

Example:

1

2

3

Needs to be:

@1

@2

@3

I there a way to reformat column A?

OPTION1: (this is simply getting the @ symbol to show in the cells... this symbol will not be stored in the cell)

selecet the cells this is to apply to and go to format cell/ number format tab. select custom and enter the following:

"@" #

hit ok

now, when you go to type in a number (just the number) the @ should show up in front of it.

OPTION2:

In a helper column (in a new one if needed)

type the following:

="@"&A1

the cell reference A1 should be changed to reflect the location of the cell on your spreadsheet.

hope this helps
