Annual Invoicing

1st post - be kind.

I've searched the different forums on the site and haven't found what I'm looking for. Currently I have a file maker data base to make invoices for residents in our HOA. I would like to convert my invoicing to excel. I have on one sheet in excel with columns labeled address, names, city, paid, etc.

Is there a way to create a invoicing template that I would be able to generate bills on a annual basis. The current invoice template wasn't much help.

Thanks,

Ryan

You can create your own invoice template or open excel and use the search function for more on line.

Thanks bobhc. I have been looking around with little help. That is why I tried this method. I will continue to search.

thx Narayan,

I've looked at most of these. I keep getting hung up on feeding the invoice from a spreadsheet. I need to send out 100 invoices once a year and I would love for it to be somewhat automated. Most of what I find is a blank invoice template that needs to be manually filled.

Hi ,

Any free invoice template which has been designed for Excel will probably expect data entry to be done manually.

Only paid-for software will have provisions for interfacing with other Accounting software so that the output from that software can be directly taken into the Excel template.

If you can provide detailed information on the kind of outputs that are available ( such as .txt , .csv , .prn ) then it may be possible to write VBA code to interface the output to any Excel template so that the appropriate fields are populated with data.

I'm confused by what you mean saying outputs. I have a table with multiple columns, first name, last name, addy, city, state, amount due, etc. I was hoping to pull from that sheet into a invoice template. I would have to adjust the template 100 different time to update the invoices (send to different customer), or auto printing the new year would be ideal

Hi ,

Are you saying that you already have all your data in an Excel file ?

If so , it should be easy enough to transfer that data into any Excel Invoice template of your choice ; all that is required is to populate the various fields in the template with the data from the appropriate column and row from your Excel file.

If you can upload your data in the form of an Excel workbook , and your preferred Excel Invoice template in the form of another Excel workbook , it should be possible to write the VBA code to do what you want.
