aggregate vs average

Hello All,

can someone please give me a simple explination how the two are different? It would be greatly appriciated!!

Average =arithmetic mean = total of all values divided by number of values

Aggregate = Overall total


Aggregate is frequently used when data from different sources is combined.

It is only available in Excel 2010 or later.
