Hi Everyone

This may be a basic question, hope I will not need to kick myself.
I have a spreadsheet where I keep staff work statistics, each member of staff has a summary page.
On one sheet I have have daily/monthly percentages for various tasks and at the top of the page I have a small table for the Year.
i.e April to March in columns, names in the rows, each persons monthly percentage is entered.
I have their summary sheet where I want the appropriate value to show however my question is rather than a very basic
=Escalation!D3
I would prefer to use criteria i.e if name on summary is John find John on escalation sheet and if date on summary is April find April on escalation sheet and enter value.
Am i making this too difficult or should I just use the very basic?

Every question remain basis at one point of time for everyone until he/she clears it. So, no need to kick yourself ;).

As per your question see the attached file, if this is what you want? If not than kindly post a sample file with some dummy data, and manual output. You will surely receive some help from here.

Yes thats what I am looking for. I have attached my sheet so you can see. I just need to breakdown your formula to understand what I'm doing.

To let you understand each staff member will be able to look at their page to see their progress. Would you agree this is the best approach?

Can you explain your file.

In your AAAA Sheet G11:G22 has months for 13-14 but in escalation sheet data is for 14-15?

Can you clear that.

Hi

I complete the sheets with various work they do to work out the percentages (the staffs have set %targets)
So the escalation sheet is completed with the details you see. This sheet is completed daily and calculates their percentages across the month. The AAAA sheet is the particular staff members Summary page which will show all their monthly percentages and the ytd.
