Adding Columns to a table

How do I add 4 columns to an existing table with 3 levels of grouped data? I cannot get them in without messing up all the formatting to the right. The highlighted data are the columns I need to enter (NOT grouped), and retain the formatting to the right from March - June 2020. Right now, it is shifting, as the purple highlight shows:

Thanks!

Hi Karen, we'd love to help you...
Considering, as per forum rules, a sample file would be nice. Inserting columns in a picture is kind of undoable.

I am not asking you to insert the columns for me, I am asking how to insert the new columns into the existing table. I am unable to send a sample as this is someone else's file that is linked to another workbook. I have the joy of trying to insert the 4 columns for February 29th - which I was able to do somehow, and have fixed my other issues. However, I noticed that the 3/31/2020 column is now gone, so I still need to know how to easily insert that column back into the table. I deleted the other three columns of the group, and copied another group of 4 inserting to the left. Now I just have to fix the dates, and I should be good to go. But thanks!

You are misunderstanding my reply. With a sample file, only containing the headers and the grouping, we can see the real situation, try stuff and tell you why (it was not working) and how (it can work) ...
There are many columns (your picture only shows a few), different levels of grouping, ... and data is not stored in a table but a range. Are there formulae in your headers? Is the formatting done via Conditional formatting? Hard to tell from a picture...

Did you notice when inserting, you have an option - via the format painter icon - to define the format?
