Adding a subset of numbers from a column

Hello all,

I've been using this site for a awhile now this one is just stumping me. I'm sure there's a very simple solution but its eluding me. I'm trying to add a group of numbers from a column based on certain data for the column next to it. I'm using a Sum(Index ...) and can get it to add up starting at the first number in the index column to a specified end point but can find a way to change the first start point.

I attached my spreadsheet. ON it you can see that the end Date is 9 (H2) and right now its adding up from C3 through C11 which 1-9 on in the first column. How can I change the start date (H1) so I can add up dynamically? I want to be able to change the H1 & H2 and then add that range between the two?

Any guidance is appreciated.

=SUMIFS(C:C,A:A,">="&H1,A:A,"<="&H2)

This seems to work. You should probably add some data validation to H1 and H2.
