Adding a number to a drop down box without writing code

Hi guys. I have several drop down boxes in Excel 2010. There are instances where I need to add a different number than what is listed in the table for the drop down box. I realize this can be done with code but is there any way (more simply) that I can add these numbers without the "value you entered is not valid" warning coming up?

More specifically the number could be any number and varied so it is not possible to add it to the drop box table or list.

Thanks

MalR

YOU MAY TRY THIS

GO TO DATA VALIDATION, SELECT LIST IN ALLOW COLUMN, CLICK ON IGNORE BLANK AND IN-CEL DROP DOWN, WRITE REQUIRED NUMBERS IN SOURCE USING COMMA, IN INPUT MASSAGE AND ERROR ALERT CLICK OFF THE CHECK BOXES, OK.

@ Mr. Sudipta Dey,

(Without attempting to annoy/taunt any one), I think writing email or post in all caps means you are "shouting":

Brilliant Sudipta! It seems removing the error alert did the trick. This has been most helpful.
