I currently have ASAP Utilities installed and have been using it for the last few years, although Excel has gotten very buggy for me over the last year or so and at one point had our IT department completely reinstall Office and then roll back to a restore point. The restore point worked initially, but shortly it started doing many of the same things, i.e. when I would click on "File" in the upper left corner Excel would freeze up and then crash. Interestingly I had reinstalled ASAP between the restore point being done and when the problems surfaced again. I contacted ASAP and asked about it, but of course they denied that it could have anything to do with it. I'm sorry I don't recall the other strange problems it was having, as it's been a while now. At one point the File part started working again, although I can't recall now how I got it working, but Excel still freezes up or crashes quite often, comments don't show when hovered over, Excel will lock-up until I click to another worksheet or workbook and then back, etc... Has anyone else had problems with their systems after installing add-ins, particularly ASAP? I'm also considering Kutools. Is anyone familiar with that one?

Remove ASAP from add ins, if all OK then you know the culprit, if not you are going to have to do some digging, How was Excel preforming before you added the software?
As for Kutools, google it, you will find a lot of opinion on the software.
