Most Excel user frown on the use of blinking/flashing text for a host of reasons the main one being the distraction such a cell would have on the user. Debraj Roys link will take you to previous comments posted on the forum, the one from Luke M is a good one and the comment from SirJB7 on how this is actually is repeated in the link below
